Recently, a group of students from Minot High School embarked on an unforgettable journey across Europe, turning textbook lessons into vibrant, real-life experiences. In Paris, they stood in awe in front of the Louvre Museum, home to masterpieces like the Mona Lisa. The Renaissance architecture of Florence and the ancient ruins of Rome provided a tangible connection to history, allowing the students to engage with the past in a way that no textbook could replicate.

The trip was meticulously planned over nearly two years, ensuring that each aspect of the journey contributed to the students’ learning experience.

According to Stein, studying art abroad allows students to experience different cultures, artistic styles, and historical contexts firsthand. This not only broadens their global perspective but also inspires creativity and enhances both personal growth and academic development. Although this group was the smallest that Stein has led, with 21 students and seven adult chaperones, the impact of the journey was no less significant. The trip not only enriched their academic knowledge but also fostered personal growth, inspiring them to pursue their passions and think critically about the role of art and culture in society.
